What a seat includes
One student, one term
2 conversations a week
Up to 45 minutes each, with a verified university student learning your students' language.
The whole term
From the day the seat is taken to the end of your school's term, plus a week's grace.
The Twin and reports
Each student's speaking report, sent to their instructor when the student chooses.
The certificate
A verifiable certificate for students who complete the term's bar.
Seats for a class, priced like books
A seat is one student's term: 2 conversations a week with verified students, reports to the instructor. One price for any number of seats. Card at once, or a quote that becomes a net-30 invoice with your PO.
Seats cost $5,400 less
- What your department sees: seats used, by class. Not who, and nothing of any student's speaking.
- Seats are for one term: unused seats end with it, so buy for the expected enrolment. Seats aren't refunded.
Two ways to pay
- Seats at once
Card, now
Choose the class (or 'assign later' to a seat pool), the seats and an optional PO number. Seats land on the class at once; the receipt names your PO.
- US dollars
Quote → invoice
A quote PDF in a minute, valid 30 days. Turn it into an invoice: net 30, your PO on it, card or ACH, tax-exempt honoured. Seats land when it's paid, or at once for a verified professor's order of up to 50.

What your department sees
Seats used, never students
Every class you fund, its seats bought, used and left, and its counts: signed up, verified, first call, a Twin. Never who, and never anything a student said.
You see
- Seats bought, in use and left, by class
- Each class's funnel, as counts
- Orders, quotes, invoices and receipts
- A class summary, only if its professor adds you as a co-viewer
You never see
- Any student's name, account or school email
- Any call, transcript or report
- Which students joined, or who was counted
- Anything that would make TwinTalk a school official under FERPA
Seats for one term, and no refunds
No refunds
Seats aren't refunded once paid, and an invoice stays owed, even if some seats go unused.
Seats end with the term
A seat is for the class's term. Unused seats end with it: they don't move to next term. Buy for the class's expected enrolment.
A seat belongs to the class
Seats aren't tied to a student: the first verified students of the class's school who use its code take them.
No double paying
A student who already bought the Semester Pass keeps it, and doesn't use one of your seats: it stays free for a classmate.
Procurement, without a project
- No contract, master agreement or data processing agreement: nothing connects to your systems
- TwinTalk never receives rosters, grades or student records
- Tax-exempt certificates honoured on invoices
- Quotes and invoices in US dollars; card in dollars or won
- Our Terms apply to every order; a purchase order's own terms don't change them
Questions, answered
Any verified professor for their own classes, or a department administrator who names a class by its code. A seat pool can be split across classes later.
The class's expected enrolment. Seats only go to students who join, and seats nobody used end with the term: they don't move to the next one.
No: seats aren't refunded once paid, whatever the size of the order. Seats belong to the class's term, and seats nobody used end with it. During the term you can move unused seats to another of your classes.
Reminders at 7 and 14 days past due. At 30 days the newest seats pause (students keep their partner and can use their own free call or plan) until it's paid. No collections process.
When the department pays, it costs students nothing. Even so, if a course gives credit for it, it should offer a free alternative: the class kit includes one.
Yes, by card in won. Won invoices are not offered yet; if your office needs one, write to us and we'll tell you when it's possible.
