The Twin · TwinTalk Data

How you speak, read from real conversation.

After a few calls, your Twin shows where you are, what's working and what to try next. It reads only your own speech, from real conversations, never a test, and it's yours: you decide whether anyone else ever sees it.

  • Included with every account
  • Never your partner's words
  • Turn it off or delete it any time

What the Twin reads

Your words, in context

  • Your own speech

The words you said, when, and how sure speech recognition was. Never your voice, and never your partner's words.

  • Real conversation

What you do when someone is waiting for your answer: the thing tests can't see.

  • Over time

Every call adds to the picture; older calls count less, so it shows where you are now.

What it tells you

A picture, not a score

  • Where you are

An estimated level on the CEFR scale, once it has read enough of your speaking, with how sure it is.

  • What's working

The patterns you use well, so you keep using them.

  • What to try next

One focus at a time, with the next call set up to practise it.

  • Your month

Twin Month: what changed, in numbers, on the first of the month.

Sending it to a teacher

Two minutes for your teacher to read

Choose the sections, the lines you're happy to share and how long the link lasts. Your teacher gets a page and a PDF; you can take it back at any time. Your first report is free; every paid plan includes them.

Yours, and only yours

You can

  • Turn analysis off at any time: nothing more is read from that moment
  • Delete your Twin, separately from your account
  • Download your data
  • Send a report, and take it back

We never

  • Keep your voice
  • Show your partner's words in your Twin, your reports or your cards
  • Show your Twin to anyone you didn't send it to
  • Sell it

For teachers, schools and platforms

Teachers read what their students send. Schools and platforms interested in what learners of a language find hard can talk to us about aggregate, anonymous patterns: only in groups of at least a hundred learners, rounded, and never about one person.
